About Us
Ultrasound Mobile Unit Coming Soon!
Love at First Sight, Inc. is a Christian nonprofit organization promoting a culture of life through ultrasound and education. It was established to provide free pregnancy tests and ultrasounds, outreach, pro-life education to both health professionals as well as members in the community including schools and churches, and support of other life-affirming services. We are purely volunteer-driven and professionally supported with experienced leaders in the field.
Our Vision is to help the world realize the beauty in every human life, no matter how small it may be.
Mission
We promote the gift of life through ultrasound, education and support services consistent with our Christian faith while following Catholic teaching on the sanctity of life from conception to natural death.
In the post-Dobbs decision era, about 70% of the abortions in the US are obtained via abortion pills, not through a surgical procedure. Realizing this, we do not limit ourselves to function only as a traditional mobile pregnancy center but also in providing education to and encouraging young women and men in the gift of life before an unplanned pregnancy may even occur.
Our Members
Dr. Carlos Moreyra is a practicing orthopedic surgeon based in Florida and a retired Commander from the US Navy Reserves. Inspired by Fr William “Bill” Kidwell, SJ, he has been active advocating for life since his high school days at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School in Miami. At Temple University School of Medicine he co-founded a pro-life medical organization with other Christian medical students to promote alternatives to abortion.
In addition, Carlos has an interest in nutrition and fitness in order to address the root causes of chronic diseases. On his spare time he enjoys sprinting, weight, lifting, running and other outdoor activities.
He has several “favorite”quotes from the Bible, but the one that drives his work the most is “Well done, good and faithful servant .” Matthew 25:21.
Tara is a strong pro-life advocate and busy mom of five and grandmother to three. She is also founder and CEO of Mustard Seed Leadership with an M.S in Educational Leadership. She has over 20 years of experience in Catholic Church and School leadership. She helps Christian businesses, churches and schools grow with purpose and impact. Tara brings with joy her unique expertise of marketing and educational leadership in service to the Love at First Sight ministry as board secretary.
Tonya is a trained Theology of the Body speaker and mobile pregnancy clinic consultant. She has been involved in the pro-life movement since 2008 and helped launch the third mobile pregnancy clinic in the country, the Hope Ultrasound Mobile Unit. Tonya worked as Director of Life Choices Women’s Clinics, which was one of the first pregnancy clinics to provide the APR protocol, as well as IUD and Nexplanon Removals. Tonya has a business background and passion for NFP and helping women. She later became a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to help train nurses and medical staff to provide ultrasounds, and continues to advise pregnancy clinics who are interested in providing mobile medical services to reach abortion vulnerable women with life affirming care.
